What is ranked choice voting?
In Takoma Park elections, you can rank candidates in order of preference: first choice, second choice, and so on. Ranking additional candidates does not affect your first choice. Your other choices are only considered if your first choice is eliminated.
Even if you prefer another candidate, please consider voting for Amy as your second choice!

Did you know that 16- and 17-year-olds as well as noncitizens can vote in our local Takoma Park elections?
It’s true! For over 30 years, Takoma Park has allowed immigrants – regardless of their legal status – to vote in our local elections. And, since 2013, residents 16 and older have been able to vote here too.
